The Two Choices That Keep a Midlife Crisis at Bay - The Atlantic

Since this was my birthday week, I found the recent article, The Two Choices that Keep a Midlife Crisis at Bay, quite interesting. The article is the entry from Arthur Brook's excellent recurring column called How to Build a Life.

I learned from the article:

  • only a tiny percentage of men and women suffer a mid-life crisis.
  • the age of a mid-life crisis is highly variable.

The two choices he mentions (spoiler alert!):

  • focus on the things age affords you, not on what you've lost
  • start subtracting responsibilities from your life

I hope you take a few minutes to explore Arthur Brook's excellent column.
